When working to support various Linode iniatives, sub-brands are sometimes necessary. I love adding a little extra effort and flair to these, because it makes everything — even internal teams, or open source documentation — look more professional. Here are some of the sub-brands I’ve designed at Linode.
From 2019 until 2022, I was responsible for maintaining and growing the Linode logo, as well as the overall brand treatment. We composed a total of three visually-apparent revisions to the Linode logo (balancing the bug and the logotype), and one post-merger final lockup.
In late August 2022, we finalized and then published the new lockup that I had built.
These were created to standardize the logo layout for various internal and contractor-facing efforts. They were all created in a team of 2 to help reinforce the hexagon shape as Linode’s iconic glyph.
My team worked on these, each of us working on a few of them, to help build a varied feeling.
