Yes, you read that right.

Way back in the 2000s, I spent a lot of time making free art to help promote the video game blog I wrote for back then, 4colorrebellion. Every Valentine’s Day, we’d release some nerdy cards that people could print out, sign, and give as a little gift. (One of these even ended up hanging in Nintendo’s offices in California!)

One morning, a reader pinged me on IRC to alert me that they had been walking down a high street in London, and they’d seen one of my designs on a t-shirt. This was the first time I’d ever heard about this. The story got a pretty neat placement on The Consumerist.

The brand and I resolved the issue, but it was some pretty cool exposure for a 20-year-old. 🙂
