Context: In early 2022, Linode was approaching their upcoming acquisition by Akamai, and we needed to put a capstone on years of effort to differentiate Linode and a few other Cloud hosts as a new market segment, ‘The Alternative Cloud.’ If we’re going to be in our own segment, we have to also show that this segment is a viable alternative to the Big Guys.

One project we support is the endlessly hungry Linode YouTube page, which requires up to 15 new and bespoke preview thumbnails per month. Some of these range from straightforward and sober, and others still get a little silly with it for clicks.
